After reading Wild Land I felt compelled to pass my experience on to other potential readers that may delve into this book. Wild Land is riddled with characters that would continually remind me of people I've known (both liked and hated) over the years, and their development throughout the story made me feel quite close to them. Their growth through the story felt natural and believable, culminating in an entirely surprising ending.

Despite some plot twists that I initially found quizzical and misleading, the story had a round about way of becoming quite enticing and forced me to continue reading. Decisions made by the characters began to make more sense as I read on, and Elizabeth's actions felt more and more organic as the book went on.

This book was suggested to me with the preface that it relates its science fiction base quite heavily to an ideology of indigenous land values. This slightly esoteric plot idea had me again, unsure at first, however the author relates the ideas extremely well, and presents them in a realistic manner.

I'm quite glad this book came through my reader, and I will absolutely begin suggesting this book to friends, co-workers, and family.

I loved this book! The story was intriguing, with just the right amount of science fiction and mystery. The author had me on the edge of my seat at the end - I had to find out what was going to happen! I really liked the main character - young, smart, full of energy - reminded me of someone I know! Wild Land
I've been thinking of how to start off this review for awhile now.
Trying to think of my favorite parts or characters with this book and I can't pick just one part or just one character The flow of the book kept my interest to the point I begrudgingly set it down when it was way past my bedtime and would sneak a couple chapters while I was at work.

It's full of adventure, nature and love, three of my favorite things. Do yourself a favor buy this book or request your library to buy it or both!

If you like the young adult adventure, Sci-fi, stories you will enjoy this. It took me a while to sit down and read it a few pages at a time inly beacuse of time constraints, then suddenly i could not put it down. Its amazing. at some points you wonder whats real in the characters life and whats not or if at one point it was all true. Very amazing story that keeps your mind peaked. won on goodread .com
This book surpassed my expectations! It was imaginative,suspenseful and beautifully written from cover to cover. I will definitely be looking forward to the next novel by this author.
I recently picked up young lady who is on a long journey. After some hours of me talking. She managed to get in a few words. And one of those words was about this book. Now I have read a lot of authors. George R.R. Martin (all works), Raymond E. Feist(all works) and PhilipPullman to name a few. And this story as excellent well crafted and well written. I feel however there is more story here and I hope the write intends to expand on the tremendous start.

Well, Kathryn Hogan has, and she expresses it in one of the most realistic, beautiful, and sexy love stories I have ever read, or even heard of! I can't wait to see where Kathryn Hogan goes with her writing, because every time I read something she has written, I get goosebumps from the power of her insights. You will not want to miss reading this gripping sci-fi/romance/intellectual thriller - trust me ;). Kathryn Hogan is a quite special writer. Thank you, Kathryn Hogan, for your incredible creative spirit that has produced this spectacular work of art, Wild Land. My favorite SciFi authors are Raymond E Feist and George RR Martin. Needless to say I was a bit skeptical when a friend of mine told me about this new book for $3. Boy was I in for a surprise. The book reels you in hook, line and sinker. It captivates the reader from start to finish leaving said reader wanting more. Personally I haven't enjoyed a book so much since the first time I read a Song of Fire and Ice (it's just that good). Can't wait till the author writes another novel!
